Some stories are born from imagination. Others are inspired by a lifetime of extraordinary experiences.

I’m pleased to introduce MANEATER, a new African adventure thriller concept that I am currently developing.

Drawing on my experiences as a licensed crocodile hunter in Malawi, the story will follow the pursuit of a particularly elusive and dangerous Nile crocodile terrorising communities along the Shire River.

While the characters and central storyline will be fictional, the setting, hunting techniques, dangers and challenges will be inspired by situations I encountered during my years in the African wilderness.

My ambition is to develop MANEATER into a compelling novel with the potential for adaptation into a feature film.

Having spent approximately ten years hunting dangerous crocodiles that threatened communities in Malawi, I believe there is an opportunity to bring a different perspective to the adventure thriller genre — one grounded in genuine field experience rather than Hollywood imagination alone.

The project is currently at the concept stage, and there is considerable creative work ahead.

But every great story begins somewhere.

Through my books, Memoirs of a Real Crocodile Hunter and Mpatamanga, I have already begun sharing two very different chapters of my African journey.

MANEATER represents an exciting new direction — transforming authentic experiences into cinematic fiction for an international audience.
