Sobek in Elephant Marsh

One night in the Elephant Marsh - Bangula, I locked eyes with a monster — a crocodile so huge it could’ve starred in its own horror movie. This was perhaps my strangest encounter ever.

For a second, I thought I’d stumbled into ancient Egypt… and met Sobek himself — the god of crocodiles, strength, and wild chaos.

Myth says Sobek ruled the Nile. After seeing this beast, I believe it. Some legends don’t die — they just grow bigger… and hungrier.
